The Mudlark mk3 is a gated dynamic fuzz pedal more or less unsuitable for use with typical stringed instruments while finding a footing with synthesizer and drum machines

The Mudlark has undergone several revisions, and remains a platform that I am tinkering with.

At its core, the Mudlark consists of an initial gain stage, a fuzz stage, a two band "tone" type equalization stage, and a recovery amplifier. The party trick was switching the order of the fuzz and EQ stages via a toggle switch.

The collection of loosely related builds I consider to be Mk2 era introduced a VOICING/FEEDBACK switch, which necessitated some combinational logic and IC switching, because the amount of transistor stages within the feedback loop changed depending on whether the FUZZ section was in front of the EQ or behind it. These are the two toggle variants, with additional interior circuit boards doing mode switching duty.

The desire to streamline the build process and integrate the multiple PCBs into a single design specific assembly paved the way to the Mk3. In the process of that redesign I integrated more circuit subsections, switching, and over-all complexity, arguably to the detrement of suitability with low level devices like electric guitars. As such, I've opted to avoid listing the current incarnation for sale on the open market. Available by request only.
